Frequently asked

The app says “Pricing temporarily unavailable” on the Pro paywall

The App Store usually takes a few minutes to propagate subscription pricing after install. Close the paywall, wait a minute, and reopen. If it persists for more than 30 minutes, email us.

I’m not getting push notifications for severe weather

Open the Alerts tab and make sure you’ve picked at least one state, and that iOS notification permission is granted (Settings → Notifications → AusWeather). If your phone is in a Focus mode that silences AusWeather, alerts will be delivered but suppressed.

The radar shows no data near my area

The radar covers mainland Australia and Tasmania at zoom levels 3–7. Outside that range there’s no upstream tile data. If you’re inside the coverage area and still see nothing, try a pull-to-refresh on the Radar tab.

How do I cancel my AusWeather Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, find AusWeather and tap Cancel. You’ll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

I’m getting a refund question

Apple handles all App Store refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID to request one.

Where do the warnings come from?

Severe-weather warnings are sourced from each state’s official authority. River gauge data is pulled from the relevant state water-data feeds. Forecast and observation data is the same data used by professional meteorologists in Australia.

Privacy and data

See the privacy policy for a full account of what the app collects (almost nothing) and how it’s used. There are no third-party trackers in the iOS app.
